You can save materials to the Material Library to reuse. This helps you to stay organized, create a design system, and bulk update them easily.

Save materials to the Material Library

You can add materials to the Material Library by following these steps:

1. With the object selected, click on the ‘Library’ icon that’s shown beside the material type in the right sidebar
2. In the Material Library popover, click on the ‘+’ icon
3. Name your material
4. Press Enter to save
5. Now your material should be saved to the Library and visible in the popover

Use materials from the Material Library

To use a material from the Library, open the Material Library by clicking the Library icon in the right sidebar, and select the material you want for the selection.

Replace a material with another one

To replace a material with another one from the Material Library:

1. Click on the ‘Replace Material’ icon button next to the material name in the right sidebar.
