You can view and organize the file objects list in the left sidebar called the Hierarchy.

Anatomy of the Hierarchy

An item in the hierarchy is composed of four elements:

  1. Object or group name: The name of the object or group
  2. Icon: Indicates the item type (ex. Box, model, group, etc.)
  3. Arrow: Collapse / uncollapse groups
  4. Interactive icon: The lightning icon indicates if something is interactive
  5. State icon: Shows what State an item is in (if there are more than 1 state)
  6. Toggle lock: Lock / unlock an item
  7. Toggle visibility: Hide / unhide an item

Renaming an item

There are two ways to rename a selection:

  1. Double-click on an item in the Hierarchy
  2. Double-click on the name of the item on the top of the right sidebar

Lock / unlock an item

Click on the ‘Lock’ icon that appears on item row hover in the Hierarchy to lock / unlock an item. Once an item is locked, it won’t be raycasted (not able to receive hover or select events) in the editor.
